"Let the images do the talking."
Okay I'll admit it I just love photography! There's something magic about being able to capture details that I've noticed, special moments in time and emotions to produce images that stand out and demand to be displayed. I also love it when I see the client delighted with their images. However, photography is very much a skill, an art, one that demands practice and development.
I specialise in weddings and portraiture of families, children and individuals as I love the atmosphere of these situations, the interactions and myriad opportunities to catch those little fleeting moments that often define someone or maybe a single instant that tells a story all by itself. My work is therefore not very formal (at least I don't think it is). I often set scenes and then just let individuals interact within this, with perhaps a little guidance or posing and blend this with reportage photography where I follow events and be as unobtrusive as possible. Observing and capturing what transpires.
I love the atmosphere and emotions that each wedding brings from the very small and intimate to the huge events that cover several days. And I also love the challenge of recording the ever changing situations during the day.
